Why the desktop app
The CLI is excellent. The desktop app is easier to live in.
If you already run Codex from the command line, nothing here replaces that. It's the same engine. What changes is everything around it - your projects stay organized on their own, scheduled tasks are a few clicks instead of a cron entry, and you can see what's running at a glance.
The bigger difference is that you're no longer tied to your desk. Start a task in the app, walk away, and check on it from your phone. That alone changes how you fit this into a day.
The tutorial assumes no prior Codex experience. If you've never touched it, you'll be set up and working by the end of the 18 minutes.
