Code With Chris (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Endometriosis Pain Diary mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

We built this App with privacy as a core principle. Your health diary stays on your iPhone. We do not operate user accounts, cloud storage, or advertising networks for the App.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at care@codewithchris.com.

Summary

TopicOur approach
Health and diary dataStored locally on your device only
User accountsNone required
Cloud backup by usNone
Advertising or cross-app trackingNone
Selling your dataWe do not sell your data
Analytics in the AppNone

1. Information the App Stores on Your Device

When you use the App, the following information is stored locally on your iPhone using on-device storage (SwiftData). This data is not transmitted to our servers and we do not have access to it.

Depending on how you use the App, locally stored information may include:

  • Daily pain, fatigue, and mood ratings
  • Symptom selections and notes
  • Menstrual cycle information (period dates, flow, spotting, clots)
  • Body map pain locations, sensations, and severity
  • Flare logs and timestamps
  • Treatment logs and before/after pain ratings
  • Daily impact information (for example, missed work or bed-bound days)
  • App preferences (such as Face ID lock settings)
  • Onboarding responses used to personalize your experience

Because this information relates to your health, treat your device and any exports you create as sensitive.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

  • Your diary entries, symptom logs, cycle data, or PDF reports
  • Your name, email address, or other contact information through normal App use
  • Precise location data
  • Contacts, photos, or other unrelated device content
  • Advertising identifiers for tracking purposes
  • Analytics or usage telemetry through our own systems

The App does not require you to create an account.

3. Optional Device Features

Face ID / Touch ID

If you enable app lock, authentication is handled by Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework on your device. Biometric data is processed and stored by Apple on your device. We do not receive or store your biometric information.

Export and Sharing

You may export your data as CSV or JSON, generate PDF reports, or share content through iOS share sheets (for example, AirDrop, Messages, or Mail). Any export or share action is initiated by you and sends data only to the destination you choose. We are not involved in and do not receive those transfers.

4. Purchases and Subscription Management

The App offers optional paid features, including:

  • A one-time lifetime purchase
  • An auto-renewing monthly subscription with a free trial period

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements (for example, to verify that you have unlocked the App). In connection with purchases, RevenueCat may process limited technical and transactional information such as:

  • An anonymous app user identifier generated by RevenueCat
  • Purchase and subscription status
  • Product identifiers, transaction dates, and renewal status
  • Device and App version information needed to validate purchases

RevenueCat does not receive your health or diary content. RevenueCat’s handling of this information is governed by its own privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Apple’s handling of payment information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

5. No Advertising or Cross-App Tracking

We do not use the App to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

On your device: Your diary data remains on your iPhone until you delete it within the App, delete the App, or erase your device.

Deleting the App: Removing the App from your device deletes locally stored App data from that device, subject to how iOS handles app removal and any device backups you maintain.

Our systems: Because we do not collect or store your diary data on our servers, we cannot retrieve, restore, or delete your health entries on your behalf.

Purchase records: Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase-related records according to their own policies and legal obligations.

7. Your Responsibilities and Backups

The App stores data locally on your device. We do not provide cloud backup as part of the App.

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your device secure
  • Using Face ID lock or device passcode if desired
  • Creating exports if you want a backup copy of your data
  • Understanding that device loss, damage, or App deletion may result in loss of data that has not been exported

If you use Apple iCloud Device Backup or other backup tools, your App data may be included in those backups according to Apple’s and your own backup settings. That backup process is controlled by Apple and/or you, not by us.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at care@codewithchris.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information if we have received it.

9. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information remains on your device as described above. Purchase-related information processed by Apple and RevenueCat may be handled in accordance with their respective policies and applicable law.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Because we do not collect your diary or health data on our servers, many data-access and deletion requests related to diary content must be handled by you directly on your device (for example, by exporting or deleting data, or uninstalling the App).

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (such as access, deletion, or correction rights). To exercise any rights that apply to information we control, contact us at care@codewithchris.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

We do not sell personal information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or on our website.

Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
