Code With Chris (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Custody Exchange Log mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

Summary
Custody Exchange Log is designed to keep your records on your device and in your iCloud account. We do not operate a server that stores your custody logs, and we do not require you to create an account with us.
The only routine third-party service in the App is RevenueCat, which helps manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may receive limited purchase-related information as described below.
Information You Enter in the App
The App stores the information you choose to record, which may include:
- Names of children, parents, and case-related labels
- Optional dates of birth for children
- Custody schedules, overrides, and exchange details (times, locations, outcomes, and notes)
- Optional photos, screenshots, PDFs, and other attachments you attach to a record
- Optional location coordinates and a reverse-geocoded place label, captured only when you tap Save on an exchange (never in the background)
- Settings such as reminder preferences and app-lock options
This information is stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud enabled for the App, your data may also sync to your private iCloud container (iCloud.com.codewithchris.custody-exchange-log) via Apple CloudKit. That synced data is associated with your Apple ID and is subject to Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy.
We do not have access to the contents of your iCloud-synced data.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or operate servers for:
- Your exchange logs, notes, attachments, or reports
- Your custody schedule or parenting-time calculations
- Your precise location history (location is captured only at your explicit action when saving a record, and stays on your device / in your iCloud)
- Analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral tracking beyond what is described for purchases below
We do not sell your personal information.
Device Permissions
The App may request the following permissions. You can deny any optional permission and still use core features, though some capabilities may be limited.

| Location (When In Use) | To optionally record where you were when you saved an exchange. Location is requested only at save time, not continuously. |
| Face ID / Touch ID | To lock the App on your device. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS; we never receive or store it. |
Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers paid access through Apple’s App Store, managed with RevenueCat:
- Lifetime access — one-time purchase (currently $19.99)
- Monthly subscription — auto-renewing (currently $3.99/month, with a 7-day free trial where offered)
When you purchase or restore access, Apple processes payment. RevenueCat may receive information such as:
- An anonymous app-user identifier
- Product identifiers, purchase status, and entitlement state (whether you have active access)
- Device and App Store–related metadata needed to validate purchases and support restore
RevenueCat’s handling of data is described in RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
We do not receive your payment card number or full Apple ID credentials.
Support Communications
If you email us at care@codewithchris.com, we receive whatever information you include in your message (such as your email address and the content of your request). We use that information only to respond to you and improve the App.
Data Retention and Deletion
On your device and in iCloud: Your records remain until you delete them in the App, delete the App, or remove iCloud data associated with the App from your Apple ID settings. Because sync uses your private iCloud account, we cannot delete your synced records on your behalf.
Purchase records: Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase-related records according to their own policies and legal obligations.
Support email: We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain reasonable business records.
Export
The App allows you to export your data (for example, as PDF reports or other export formats provided in the App). Exports you create are under your control and may contain sensitive personal information — handle them accordingly.
Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for use by parents and guardians documenting custody exchanges. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about children that appears in the App is entered by the adult user.

Security
We rely on Apple’s platform security (device encryption, iCloud/CloudKit, App Store receipt validation) and industry-standard practices through our purchase provider. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; you are responsible for securing your device (for example, using a passcode and enabling app lock).
Because your records may be sensitive, we strongly recommend enabling app lock and keeping your device and Apple ID credentials secure.
International Users
The App is offered primarily for users in the United States. If you use the App from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and in jurisdictions where Apple, RevenueCat, or their subprocessors operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
