These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are the terms and conditions and the End User License Agreement for the Money Counter iOS app provided by ByDesign Development Inc., operating as CodeWithChris (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading or using Money Counter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app
Money Counter is a tool for totaling bills and coins by denomination, saving named counts, setting optional targets, using templates (including custom ones), showing an optional home-screen widget, and — with Pro — exporting CSV or PDF summaries.
The app is for personal or internal business record-keeping of physical cash you count yourself. It is not a bank, payment processor, accountant, or legal or tax advisor. Totals depend on the quantities you enter. You are responsible for verifying results before you rely on them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission, including for any purchase.
3. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Money Counter on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store rules and Apple’s standard EULA.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or rent the app, except where the law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
4. Your content
Counts, names, notes, templates, and exports you create belong to you. They are stored on your device unless you share or export them.
You are responsible for that content and for keeping a backup if you need one. We are not liable for loss of on-device data, including after an app delete, device reset, or failed backup.
Suggestions you send through support chat may be used to improve the app without obligation to you.
5. Pro, subscriptions, and in-app purchases
Some features require Money Counter Pro. Current offerings can include:
- An auto-renewable monthly subscription, which may include a free trial (currently 7 days where offered)
- A one-time lifetime purchase
- Other auto-renewable periods (for example yearly) if they appear on the paywall in your storefront
Exact price, trial length, and plan names are shown in the Apple paywall before you buy and may vary by country. A subscription or one-time purchase is required to use Money Counter for new installs in the current hard-paywall cohort. Older installs may still have a limited free saved-count tier.
Auto-renewable subscriptions (Apple required terms)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renew in iOS Settings after purchase (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) or from Manage Subscription in the app.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- We do not issue refunds for unused time except as required by Apple or applicable law. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
Restore purchases on a new device with the same Apple ID to unlock Pro you already bought.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Money Counter to break the law, to interfere with the app or our services, to submit malware or abusive material in support chat, or to misrepresent a purchase or entitlement.
We may refuse support or terminate access to our services (including the support inbox) if you violate these Terms.
7. Third-party services
The app uses Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, TelemetryDeck, and Crisp as described in the Privacy Policy. Their terms and policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for outages or changes on those platforms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Money Counter is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that totals, conversions, or exports will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByDesign Development Inc. and our officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of Money Counter, even if we were told they were possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Money Counter Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars, whichever is greater. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places our liability is limited to the maximum allowed by law.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the app, your content, or your breach of these Terms, including reasonable legal fees.
11. Changes and termination
We may update the app or these Terms. We will post the current Terms at the URL above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
You may stop using the app at any time and delete it. Cancel any auto-renewing subscription separately in iOS Settings or it may continue to bill.
We may stop offering the app or Pro features. Paid subscriptions remain subject to Apple’s billing and cancellation rules.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds a provision unenforceable, the rest still applies.
If Apple’s standard EULA conflicts with these Terms on a subject Apple requires us to leave to that EULA, Apple’s EULA controls on that subject.
