This Privacy Policy describes how Code With Chris (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the POTS Tracker mobile application (the “App”) on iPhone.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at care@codewithchris.com.
Summary
POTS Tracker is designed to keep your health information on your device. We do not require an account, we do not operate a backend that stores your health records, and we do not sell your personal information.
Most of the information you enter or view in the App stays on your iPhone unless you choose to export or share it (for example, by generating a PDF report and using the system share sheet).
Information We Collect
Information you provide in the App
Depending on how you use POTS Tracker, the App may store locally on your device:
- Profile details you choose to enter, such as name, age, date of birth, weight, journey stage, and symptoms
- Stand test results and readings, including heart rate and optional blood pressure values
- Symptom, salt, fluid, and medication logs
- Daily targets and related settings
- Appointment and report preferences used to build PDF reports
This information is stored locally using on-device storage (SwiftData). It is not transmitted to our servers.
Apple Health data (optional)
If you grant permission, the App may read the following data types from Apple Health:
- Heart rate
- Resting heart rate
- Heart rate variability (SDNN)
- Step count
- Sleep analysis
The App uses this information to help pre-fill readings and show trends. POTS Tracker requests read-only access to Apple Health. It does not write data to Apple Health.
You can grant or revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app. If you deny access, you can still use the App by entering data manually.
Apple Health data accessed by the App is processed on your device and stored locally as part of your App data. We do not receive copies of your Apple Health data on our servers.
Purchase information
If you buy POTS Tracker Pro, payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, entitlements, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may receive information such as:
- An anonymous or app-specific customer identifier
- Purchase and subscription status
- Product identifiers and transaction-related metadata
- Device and app version information needed to validate purchases
RevenueCat does not receive the health information stored in the App. For more information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
Information we do not collect
We do not currently collect:
- Account registration information (the App does not require an account)
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or other unrelated device data
- Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising
We also do not use your health information for advertising or marketing.
How We Use Information
We use information only as needed to operate the App and provide its features, including to:
- Store and display your logs, stand tests, trends, and reports on your device
- Pre-fill readings from Apple Health when you have granted permission
- Generate PDF reports you choose to create
- Send local notifications related to stand test timing, if you allow notifications
- Validate purchases, restore access, and manage subscription status through Apple and RevenueCat
We do not use your health information to make medical decisions for you, and the App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
Your information may be shared only in these situations:
When you choose to share it
If you export or share a PDF report, screenshot, or other App content using iOS sharing features, you control where that information goes (for example, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or Files).
Service providers
We use third-party services that help us operate paid features:
- Apple App Store — payment processing and subscription management
- RevenueCat — purchase validation, entitlement management, and restore purchases
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights, or protect the safety of users or the public. Because most App data is stored locally on your device, our ability to access that data is limited.
Data Retention
Information you enter in the App remains on your device until you delete it or delete the App.
If you delete the App from your iPhone, locally stored App data is removed from that device unless you have separately backed up your device through iCloud or another backup method controlled by you.
Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their respective retention policies.
Your Choices and Controls
You can:
- Decline or revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings
- Enter data manually instead of using Apple Health auto-fill
- Edit or delete information stored in the App
- Decline notifications in iOS Settings
- Restore purchases from within the App
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings
Because the App stores most data locally, uninstalling the App is the primary way to remove that data from your device.
Children’s Privacy
POTS Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at care@codewithchris.com and we will take appropriate steps to address the request.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App and our purchase providers. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Because your health logs are stored locally on your device, you should also use device protections you trust, such as a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
International Users
If you use the App outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or on our website.
Your continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
